White Oak Mutual Water Company is a private water system, (not connected to Cottonwood Water District) consisting of 126 lots in Cottonwood Calif. Each lot owner in good standing is a share holder. The system consists of 2 wells with 60 hp pumps and  two 10,000 gallon hydro pneumatic tanks. The system has a backup emergency generator.

The corporation is a “non-profit” corporation and is regulated by County, State and Federal Agencies and adheres to strict Codes and Standards.  These assure ethical operations and strict testing requirements which provides clean and safe drinking water to the subdivision.

The Corporation is operated by five (5) Board Directors who are elected each year by the members of the corporation at the annual corporate  meeting.   Members of the corporation consist of residents of The White Oak Subdivision.  Directors to the Board must be a member of the corporation and are elected for three year terms on a rotating basis.
